Dashboard & Site Management
Audience: Site owners (end users)
This guide explains how to use the ScaffolderJS dashboard to manage your websites.
The Dashboard (My Sites)
When you log in, you will see the My Sites dashboard. This is your central hub for managing all your websites.
Viewing Your Sites
The dashboard displays your sites as cards. Each card shows:
- Site Name: The name of your project.
- Preview Image: A visual representation of your site.
- Status: Indicators for active jobs (like "Generating content...") or errors.
- Last Updated: When the site was last modified.
Search and Filter
Use the toolbar at the top to find specific sites:
- Search: Type a name or description to find a site.
- Filter:
- Type: Show only Static Sites or Web Apps.
- Date: Show recently created or updated sites.
- Sort: Order sites by Name or Date.
Site Actions
Each site card has a primary set of action buttons. Other advanced actions are nested inside the More actions (...) menu.
Primary Actions
👁️ Preview
Click the large preview image to open your published site in a new tab. This shows exactly what your visitors will see.
✏️ Editor
Click the Editor button to open the Site Builder. This is where you change content, images, colors, and layout.
⚙️ Rename
Click the Rename button (pen icon) to change the display name of your site in the dashboard. This keeps your projects organized.
📥 Download ZIP
Click the Download ZIP button to download a complete copy of your website's built HTML/CSS files. You can use this to host the site anywhere else.
Advanced Actions (More Menu)
Click the More actions (...) button on the bottom right of the card to access additional tools:
📄 Blog
Click Blog to manage blog posts for this site. Learn more about managing your blog.
🛍️ Products
Click Products to manage products and pricing. Learn more about managing products.
💾 Backup
Click Backup to download a full project backup. This includes your configuration and source data, allowing you to restore the project later using the "Restore Site" feature.
📄 Duplicate
Click Duplicate to create an exact copy of the site. A confirmation modal will appear. Note: Duplicating a site will consume credits equivalent to generating a new site with AI.
🔑 API Keys (Share)
Click API Keys to view connection details for external tools (like the browser extension).
🕒 Version History
Click Version History to view past published versions of your site and restore your site's visual configuration to a previous state.
📊 Report
Click Report to view generated SEO and accessibility reports for your site.
🗑️ Delete
Click Delete to permanently remove a site. Warning: This action cannot be undone.
Restoring a Site
If you have a backup ZIP file (created using the Backup action above):
- Click the Restore Site button in the dashboard header.
- Select your backup ZIP file.
- The system will recreate your site exactly as it was.
Common Questions
What do the colored dots mean?
- Blue Spinner: The system is working (e.g., generating content, building the site).
- Red Triangle: An error occurred. Try refreshing the page or checking your connection.
Why can't I create a site?
If the "Create Site" buttons are grayed out, you may need to verify your email address. Check your inbox for a verification link.
Low Credits Warning
Creating sites and using AI features requires credits. If your balance is low, you will see a warning banner. You can purchase more credits from the account menu.
